This beautiful vintage 9ct yellow gold boat ring features three opal cabochons, a central 5mm x 3mm oval cut opal and two round cut 3mm opals. The opals are interspersed by four faceted 2mm round cut red garnets all mounted in a Victorian inspired gipsy boat ring setting with beautiful open scrollwork to the raised gallery. The bluey-white opals have flashes of spectral colours which complement the sparking garnets beautifully. The ring bears the makers mark of CL&S for Charles Lyster & Son of Spencer Street, Birmingham who maintained the tradition of producing high quality jewellery across the price ranges of the precious jewellery market from the 1890s to the 1970s. A perfect anniversary ring or an October birthday gift.
