This absolutely gorgeous 18ct gold and platinum true Art Deco antique diamond solitaire ring with platinum laurel leaf design shoulders exudes the sleekness and elegance so synonymous with the Art Deco era . The ring dates from the 1920s and has been beautifully crafted in 18ct yellow and platinum and features a superb sparkling eye clear 3.8mm (approx 0.20ct) transitional cut diamond of excellent colour and clarity which has been star set into a rex mounted platinum setting. The transitional cut is the name given to round, well proportioned diamonds that were cut in between the 1920s and the 1940s, prior to the implementation of the modern brilliant cut. The transitional cut has a lower crown angle, a larger table, and a smaller culet than the old mine and European cuts. The ring weighs 2.4g. A truly stunning antique engagement or anniversary ring.
