A truly stunning large 9ct yellow gold vintage halo ring from 1974 with a central oval cabochon opal of 8mm x 6mm surrounded by ten beautiful 2.2 – 2.3mm red rubies in an very ornate scalloped cluster setting. The gemstone setting has been mounted onto a raised basket mount with a split shouldered shank. The milky white opal has the full spectrum of colour which catches the light complimenting the rubies perfectly. The ring weighs a hefty 4.2g. A stunning Victorian style statement or anniversary ring.
