The gemstones in the jewellery are all natural stones. We do not sell jewellery containing manmade, synthetic or laboratory grown stones.

This beautifully crafted dainty vintage 9ct gold snake or serpent ring has been set with two sparkling 2mm deep red ruby eyes on a highly polished curving shank. Serpent or snake motifs became particularly prominent during the reign of Queen Victoria, who received an engagement ring from Prince Albert which featured a snake with an emerald-set head and ruby eyes. This sparked a whole fascination with snake-inspired designs, making them a defining trend of the Victorian era, although snake rings had long been associated with various beliefs and meanings. In many cultures, snakes are seen as symbols of transformation, rebirth, and healing. In other cultures, the snake is considered a protector or as a symbol of wisdom and strength. A perfect graduation, promise or good luck ring.
