An absolutely stunning vintage 9ct yellow gold pear cut red ruby and diamond chandelier necklace with a 9ct gold 16″ (41cms) diamond cut curb chain. Inspired by the decadence and movement of chandeliers, chandelier necklaces and earrings became very popular during the Belle Epoque and Edwardian eras. A chandelier in jewellery terms means with dangling ornaments or with multiple arms.
This beautiful ornate chandelier necklace features a central millgrain open rhombus in 9ct yellow gold suspended below two sparkling illusion set diamonds bezel set into 9ct white gold star design mounts. A beautiful excellent quality 7mm x 5mm (approx 0.85ct) clear red pear cut ruby hangs suspended below the rhombus and there are two further sparkling illusion set diamonds bezel set into 9ct white gold star design mounts suspended either side of the open rhombus giving the design synonymous with chandelier necklaces and earrings.
The necklace is attached to a vintage 41cm (16″) 9ct gold diamond cut curb chain and the total necklace ensemble weighs 3.3g in total. A perfect wedding day, anniversary or Valentine gift.
